Lessons
If you are a beginner at skateboarding and at least 5 or 6 years of age, it might be helpful to schedule a private lesson with one of our experienced skateboard instructors. They will work with you at your own pace and at whatever skill level you are currently at. Beginners need to learn balance, pushing and steering, then can advance to kick turning, learning to ollie and dropping in on the small mini ramp. Intermediate skateboarders can also benefit a great deal by taking a lesson or two. Once you have mastered the basics, our instructors can help you advance and learn tricks such as rock to fakie, 50/50 grinds and kick-flips.
Private lessons must be scheduled at least 24 hours ahead of time and are 1 ½ hrs in length (45 minutes one on one with the instructor and 45 minutes of practice skate). Cost for private lesson is $25. Group skateboard lessons for ages 7 and up are available every Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00pm. Groups are kept very small and divided by skill level. Instruction is one hour followed by 30 minutes of practice skate on your own. No advance notice is required for a group lesson. All skaters are welcome. Price for group lesson is $20 or discounted rate of $70 for 4 lessons when you pre-pay.

New participants must have a waiver signed by biological parent or legal guardian. Helmet is mandatory, pads are highly recommended. All rentals are half price when taking a lesson.
